Chats SAPS to clamp down on unethical officers | Rising Sun Newspapers

Station commander at Chatsworth SAPS, Brig Ruth De Villiers, has vowed to improve service delivery of police with management set to act on unsavoury behaviour.

Brig De Villiers explained, “Chatsworth police officers remain committed to serving and protecting the community of Chatsworth. Every police officer is guided by the South African Police Service’s Code of Conduct where personnel must act within the ambit of the law and the Constitutional mandate placed upon them. The management will act on errand behaviour of police officers, who engage in any criminal activity in the policing precinct.”

To improve frontline service delivery, complainants may contact the management at the station on 031 451-4204.

They can also send an email to CHATSWORTHSAPS@ saps.gov.za. Alternatively, they may call the SAPS Complaints Nodal Point on 080-033- 3177 or the Anti-Corruption hotline 08600- 701701.
